"Out of Tune EWI"

Question: I just bought my EWI/EVI set it up, then noticed that it plays a half-step flat. What's up?

Answer: First check the red tune knob in the upper right-hand corner of the EWV-2000 sound module and be sure it is set to the 12 o'clock position. Then press the red AUTO TUNE button in the middle of the module. If everything still plays flat then double check to see that you have properly adjusted the blue BEND knob on the left-hand side of the module. If the red light to the right of the BEND knob is on then that means that you are sending pitch bend information to the sound module. Slowly twist the outer ring of the BEND knob until the red light goes off (this is typically at about the 1 o'clock position). If you still have problems then your final resort is to check the BREATH INTENSITY parameter (Bank Source 1. Button 7) in the EDIT mode and set the BREATH VCO:00.
