"Clicking Legato"

Question: I consistently hear a "clicking" at the beginning of each note in most of the patches from the EWV-2000 even when I use legato tonguing. What causes this and is it something that I can remedy through programming?

Answer: I believe the sound you're referring to is related to a combination of the breath sensitivity settings and the Envelope Generator settings. You should be able to minimize it by backing off the "Adjust" (outer knob) setting when adjusting the breath sensitivity on the EWV-2000. You can still have the "Sense" (inner knob) up fairly high, at about 2 or 3 o'clock. Also, careful adjustment of the EG's attack and depth settings may be necessary, and check that the trigger mode (under Edit parameter/source one, block 8) is set to Single.
