Answer: First of all make sure your external synth receives aftertouch data by checking the MIDI Implementation Chart in the back of your synth's user's manual. If the aftertouch row
has a check under the "recognized" column then you are on the right path. If it has a blank
then you are out of luck. Assuming your external synth does receive aftertouch then check to
see that it is in the ON position. And, lastly, look into the specific patch you are using on
you external synth and make sure that the aftertouch level is greater than 0! While you are
there set aftertouch to control filtering (i.e. brilliance), volume or pitch bend. Follow the above
procedure for sending MIDI Volume or Breath from the EWV-2000.
